It was a great day out for Ffynone’ s football and basketball teams when they played Wotton House School at Ashleigh Road.
Football was played first, and it was a highly competitive match with Ffynone taking the spoils in a 5-0 victory in the rain and wind. Lunch was next with all students indulging in a nice, packed lunch before embarking on a basketball match. This was a very close affair with a tit for tat scoring and many missed opportunities by both teams. With Ffynone again taking the spoils in a 20-16 victory after three 15-minute mini-matches of back and forth running. We must thank Wotton House International School for travelling all the way from Gloucester to play us, with the prospect of a Ffynone teams’ trip to Gloucester to reciprocate.
