Students in Years 7-9 have 4 lessons each per week of Maths, English and Science. In addition, our curriculum includes Geography, History, Drama, Music, Computing, Art and PE as part of a compulsory timetable. Uniquely, all our younger students also take German, French and Latin.
Pupils start their GCSE Maths, Science and English in Year 9.
At Key Stage 3 pupils in Ffynone study an array of school subjects:

As part of their curriculum, pupils in Year 7 take part in the annual school production, which takes place in February.
In Year 8, in addition to the subjects listed here, pupils also study Latin as a 3rd language.
In Year 9, students may choose a combination of two languages from the three studied in Year 8. This could be Latin/German, French/German, or Latin/French.
The pupils who need extra lessons in English or Maths may drop one or two languages sometime at Key Stage 3.
In Year 9, pupils are taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics as separate subjects by specialists teachers.
