FHS Primary Provision Planned for 2025
We are excited to announce our plan of a brand-new Primary Provision at Ffynone House School, opening for the 2025/26 academic year.
This development will see the introduction of Reception to Year 6 education on our existing site, allowing us to offer a seamless, high-quality 4–18 learning journey for families in Swansea and beyond. Following overwhelmingly positive support from the Oakleigh House families, the school is moving forward to create a nurturing and dynamic space for our young learners. Planning is already underway to create four dedicated primary classrooms, with both indoor and outdoor spaces being tailored to suit the needs of the primary-age children.
Integrated Learning
FHS Primary will be part of a ‘through-school’ model, where pupils progress seamlessly from age 5 to 18 within the same environment. This model supports the dual goals of developing well-rounded, confident individuals whilst ensuring academic success is always in sight, by allowing for shared resources and expertise across all age groups.
Primary pupils will enjoy access to specialist teaching spaces including science labs, music rooms, and IT suites. The through-school setting also enables peer mentoring opportunities, giving older students a leadership role while younger ones benefit from their experiences.
