Year 7 and Years 4 & 5 enjoyed their Science lessons this week, thanks to the brilliant teaching of Mrs. Ricketts.
Our Year 7 pupils had great fun exploring series and parallel circuits. Using bulbs, wires and switches, they investigated how circuit design affects the brightness of bulbs and how switches can be used to control lights independently.
Pupils then applied their knowledge by designing a simple ‘home lighting system’, working out how to turn different lights on and off separately.
A brilliant hands-on lesson developing curiosity, problem-solving and practical science skills.

The same week, Years 4 and 5 have been exploring forces, including balanced and unbalanced forces. They also investigated the concept of buoyancy and put their engineering skills to the test! Using pasta and marshmallows, pupils worked creatively to design and build floating structures. A fun and hands-on way to bring science to life while developing teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Thank you Miss Ricketts for these fun and engaging Science lessons.
