One of Ffynone’s strengths is that our admissions policy does not limit student selection solely to the most academically able. Our approach ensures that we reflect the wide variation of young people’s abilities from our local area, giving every individual the opportunity to shine.
In November 2019, Estyn inspectors said, “The supportive and constructive working relationships between teachers and pupils, and teachers’ expertise and passion for their subjects contribute significantly to pupils’ progress in developing their knowledge, understanding and skills.”

Success at all levels
Ffynone students’ successes, at whatever level, enable them to progress to higher education, be it at prestigious universities in competitive courses such as veterinary science, medicine and dentistry or colleges and workplaces throughout the country. But academic results comprise only part of a Ffynone education. The enrichment, cultural activities, and the safety and security of a friendly family school mean our students enjoy their education – an excellent result that is difficult to quantify.
