Welsh National Champion! Huge congratulations to Ffynone student Lucy, who had an incredible weekend competing at the Welsh National Outdoor Ski Championships 2026 in Pontypool. https://racesignup.co.uk/welsh-outdoor-championships-2026.
Battling her way down two challenging courses, Lucy achieved an outstanding double victory:
1st Female – U18 Welsh National Outdoor Championships 2026
1st Female Overall – Welsh National Outdoor Championships 2026
After a year that has brought its fair share of injuries and disappointments, this was a fantastic and very well-deserved way for Lucy to finish the dry slope season.
A brilliant display of determination, resilience and talent. We are incredibly proud of you, Lucy – congratulations!
