Junior Maths Challenge
Years 7 & 8 took part in the Junior Maths Challenge exam before Easter (see main photo above). They did very well, but some pupils particularly distinguished themselves. Congratulations to Year 7 Bilal, Jasper and Joseph (best in Year) and Year 8 Sully, Zarah, Jack, Rosie and Molly (best in year). Well done to all of you!
Foundational Maths Challenge
Other Y7 and 8 pupils took part in the Foundational Maths Challenge. This two-level challenge—First Steps and Strengthen—was designed to stretch students’ mathematical thinking, testing not only their ability to apply core procedures but also their problem-solving skills.
Our students rose to the occasion, showing determination, creativity, and confidence in tackling a variety of mathematical challenges. We couldn’t be prouder of the progress they’ve made and the enthusiasm they brought to both stages. Congratulations to Bronze certificates Y7 Sienna B., Henry, Anoushka and Y8 Isa and Sophia R., and to Y7 Olivia and Eliza for achieving Silver certificates.
