Year 10 separate scientists embraced the opportunity to take part in the National Scientific Thinking Challenge 2025. The multiple choice, online competition requires students to analyse data, graphs and text and make deductions, spot trends, suggest hypotheses and identify anomalous results. It is a wonderful opportunity to have fun with science and logical thinking! 15,663 students took part from all over the UK.
Ffynone House students put into practise all of the skills that they have developed in their excellent Science lessons and achieved some superb results. Darcey, Mia, Georgia and Muaz (missing from the photo) achieved a bronze certificate (within the top 40% of students).
Alice, Ella, Maccabee and Rachel gained a silver certificate (within the top 25%).
Anwen, Solomon and Tom achieved the top prize of a gold certificate (within the top 10%). Well done Year 10! You have done the Science department proud.
