At the Edge of Science: Mr. Hillier’s thrilling Hadron Collider experience
Just a few weeks ago, our Physics teacher Mr. Hillier applied for a highly sought-after place on a free week-long CPD programme at CERN in Switzerland. https://home.cern/science/accelerators/large-hadron-collider. Last week, after securing the place, he was in ‘Physicists’ heaven’, exploring the Hadron Collider, attending lectures, networking and being utterly re-inspired about scientific exploration and investigation.
We are so excited to hear all about it and are really proud of him for taking a risk, following his dreams and collecting so much wonderful knowledge to share with our students.
Year 10 Science
Our Year 10 scientists have been busy recently exploring indicators and testing the pH of a range of everyday substances. A great hands-on lesson, and plenty of curiosity and careful investigation from the class. Well done, Year 10!
